All of the units sit right on the edge of the dam, so that you go to sleep and wake to a Midlands water vista and pine forest. During midwinter you might be lucky enough to enjoy a few days of snow, mostly July and August. BrambleBerry is an exclusive and unique location in the middle of the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal Midlands Meander, located on the R103 only 4km from Michaelhouse and the historic Nottingham Road Village.

BrambleBerry is home to a wide variety of local species. Deer, owls, otters and birds populate the secluded pine forest. On a nightly walk, you may even be lucky enough to spot a hare!
In the evenings, sit on the deck in any of our units and listen to the frogs croak into the night and wake to the serene view of the rippling 4-hectare dam, framed by the majestic pine forest and decorated by the sounds of local wildlife. Keep an eye out for a visit from the resident otter, Ollie.
Cooler weather brings another spectacle to BrambleBerry. Watch the fog creep slowly over the dam until even the mountain is obscured.
